How I Work

I help you bring back the healthy, energetic, lover of life you were before the nightmare started…

...to help peel back the layers and uncover that person living within. The different aspects of your life begin to balance. You will be provided with support, spiritual encouragement, educational resources, supplemental tools, and one-on-one motivation to achieve your goals.

What results will you get:

  • Feel vibrantly healthy and get your life back
  • When you feel great, relationships improve
  • Have the energy and desire to pursue hobbies and recreation (gardening, dancing, travel etc.) again
  • Feel well rested and gain control of bodily functions
  • Feel confident and enjoy being in the company of family and friends again
  • Be able to dream of the future again

My beliefs, values and principles:

I have a holistic and integrative view of health. According to the World Health Organization, “Health is more than the absence of disease. Health is a state of optimal well-being.” I believe to create wellness you need to balance and integrate your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects.  To be healthy,  it is also important to establish respectful, cooperative relationships with your family, friends and community.

True wellness occurs by gathering  information and making informed wellness-oriented choices daily and taking responsibility in your health decisions and healing process.  Be your own advocate when seeing health care providers.  Recognize that some health care providers are prevented from recommending natural solutions unless the patient brings it up first.

Your body is miraculous, it wants to be healthy - it strives to be healthy. Your body does whatever it can to maintain balance and wellness. Your thoughts are also very powerful. What you think about will eventually become your reality. I empower, support, motivate and challenge you to take control of your thoughts and health, balance your body and change your life.

My process:

The focus is completely on you and what you want in life. It’s about YOU and YOUR success. Ultimately it’s your actions that bring about the change you want. The daily consistent changes are what add up to compound results. The agenda is yours. Sometimes, just talking about your options with someone who really listens is enough to clarify your thoughts and stay focused.

I often use a blend of coaching and consulting (recommendations based on my knowledge and experiences).  I offer a combination of brainstorming and powerful questioning, advice and expertise, accountability and Biblical inspiration.

How are my coaching services unique:

I specialize in working with people who want to overcome AND reverse chronic conditions and live a naturally healthy life.

My husband and I have each lived with chronic conditions such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome, sleep apnea, arthritis, hypertension and Farmer’s Lung for 23 years. The “illness”-care industry kept giving us temporary solutions, which allowed our ailments to accumulate. We were told we just had to learn how to deal with them as a part of getting older.  In addition, side-effects from the prescriptions produced more symptoms!

With research, determination, resources and the grace of God we overcame all of our chronic health conditions.  Neither one of us need prescription medication.  We feel better now than we have in years!

I was diagnosed with Primary Progressive MS in 2003.

I was then put on muscle relaxing pills and something to help me sleep. The stress kept mounting in my life and I felt awful most of the time.

...I gradually went off the muscle relaxing pills with the guidance of my doctor and am no longer in pain. My endurance has increased; I don’t need naps every day and can tolerate full days of work.

...we have now embarked on a new exercise program that I am confident will allow me to throw away my cane.

The road back to wellness takes patience and persistence. But, having a naturally healthy life again is priceless.

Become a possibilitarian. No matter how dark things seem to be or actually are, raise your sights and see possibilities - always see them, for they're always there.
